This is an accessory set, not a motorcycle model. It replaces the clear windscreen of the fairing with a formed part of thin clear film two tenths of a millimeter thick. The difference from the kit part lies in what disturbs the eye most in this scale: the thickness. Injection-molded clear plastic has a noticeably thicker edge than a real windscreen, and on a finished model that shows at once. The formed part is also already die-cut to the outline, so it does not have to be trimmed. The second part of the set is the anti-slip pads for the fuel tank, made as a clear decal with a three-dimensional surface texture.

Usage tips

• Hold the film by its edge and do not touch it with your fingers, because fingerprints are hard to remove from a clear material.
• Glue it with an adhesive intended for clear parts, because cyanoacrylate glue fogs a clear surface.
• Remove any overhang with fine scissors, not with a knife, because the material cracks easily.
• Apply the decal with the anti-slip texture onto polished paint and let it dry thoroughly.
• Use a decal softener on a textured decal with care, because a strong product dissolves the relief.

Who it is for

The set is for motorcycle modelers who are building a racing machine and want to remove the two most conspicuous compromises of an injection mold. It assumes experience with thin film and with decals, but the procedure is not complicated.

It is not a motorcycle kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
