A blue Number Five shade with a date in its name: it is tied to the Ford Fiesta WRC in the form the works team ran in the 2020 and 2021 years. A dark blue made up the basic body surface on those cars.
The Fiesta WRC was created to the rules in force from 2017: a turbocharged four-cylinder, extensive aerodynamics and no hybrid part of the drive. The British works team ran the last two seasons of this generation with it, the 2020 year, marked by postponed and canceled events, and the 2021 year, after which the Rally1 class took over world rallying. At the wheel in those two years were, among others, Teemu Suninen, Esapekka Lappi, Gus Greensmith and Adrien Fourmaux. In both seasons the blue surface was what the partner graphics and the race numbers only then ran across, so on a model it makes the first and most extensive layer of color.
A car of this generation is recognized by its large rear wing, wide fenders and the openings in the front grille that the rules in force from 2017 allowed. The shade does not take the place of the lettering, lines and numbers, as those reach a model with a decal, and that is why it makes sense to have the blue surface finished before you start on the graphics.
