3D colored interior for the F8F-1 Bearcat (1:32) is a set of 3D decals on backing paper for detailing the cockpit of a model of the American carrier-based fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of 3D decals from Quinta Studio brings colored raised interior detail ready to apply. The instrument panel, the side panels, the levers and the lettering are printed on backing decal paper and come off it with a short dip in water. This is not photo-etch and not resin but finished colored relief. The decals follow the cockpit of the F8F-1 kit from Trumpeter.
The Grumman F8F Bearcat was a light and exceptionally capable carrier-based fighter from the end of the Second World War. It combined a powerful radial engine with a compact airframe, which gave it an outstanding rate of climb. Its tight cockpit with a densely packed instrument panel is an ideal target for detailing.
Go over the surface of the cockpit with gloss varnish first (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22) and let it dry. Cut the part out of the sheet, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place; it has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on exactly that gloss varnish. On intricate surfaces a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin.
The set contains only the interior 3D decals, not the model, the paints or the glue.
