A color three-dimensional interior for the two-seat F-15D in 1:48 scale settles both cockpits of the training version of the Eagle at once.
Responsibility details are not available.
On two-seat machines the work on the interior is doubled, because there are twice as many instrument panels and side consoles. That is exactly what this set settles: it brings color three-dimensional elements on a decal carrier for both stations. It relates to the Academy kit and cannot be used without it.
The F-15D is the two-seat variant of the Eagle fighter, a heavy air superiority aircraft with two engines and a large wing area. The rear cockpit was created by modifying the space behind the pilot and serves above all for training, while the combat capability of the machine was retained. It was the two-seat Eagles that became the basis for the later strike versions, which turned the original interceptor into a machine for attacking ground targets.
Try assembling both cockpits dry in advance and mark which element belongs at the front and which at the rear, because they differ only slightly in shape. Begin seating at the rear station, where there is less room. Finish the cockpit tubs before you glue the fuselage halves together.
The second seat called for a reduction in internal fuel capacity; otherwise the airframe and the armament stayed identical to the single-seat version. Besides the US Air Force, two-seat Eagles also served with Israeli, Japanese and Saudi units, so the model can be finished in several very different finishes and markings.
