Omask 1:72 X-wing Starfighter double-sided mask is a double-sided masking set for the cabin glazing of the X-wing fighter for Bandai and Revell kits in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set deals with the step on which the final impression a model makes stands or falls: the sharp division between the clear canopy and the frame of the cabin. The shapes are cut to measure for the glazing of the Bandai and Revell kits and the set covers the outer as well as the inner side. The inner side comes in useful where the cabin can be seen into, or when you are building a model with the canopy slid back.
The X-wing is a single-seat fighter of the Rebel Alliance from the world of Star Wars, recognizable by the four wings that open into the letter X and by the guns at their tips. Behind the cabin it has a socket for an astromech droid, which helps the pilot with navigation and repairs. In kit form it is one of the most frequently built science fiction subjects of all.
First rid the glazing of grease from your fingers, transfer the shape with tweezers and smooth it down carefully with a blunt toothpick, so that no gap is left anywhere along the edge. Apply the paint in several thin coats; a heavy coat will break up as the mask comes off and create a step. Remove the mask shortly after the paint has set, while the edge is still soft. The frame of the cabin looks better when the interior shade goes underneath its color.
The set holds masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not in the package.
