This item is NOT an aircraft kit but a resin (3D-printed) detail set meant to improve the powerplant of a model of the Douglas SBD-5 Dauntless carrier dive bomber in 1:72 scale considerably. It holds a finely rendered radial engine, an oil cooler and exhaust pipes that replace the simplified parts of the base kit.
The SBD-5 was one of the most widespread versions of the American carrier dive bomber, which played a key part in the fighting in the Pacific. It was powered by an air-cooled radial engine, and the aircraft was famous for the accuracy of its dive bombing.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate them from the print supports carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Protect your airways when sanding resin. It is best to paint the engine and pick out the shades before it is closed up inside the cowling.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
