Masking set 1:72 Percival Prince and Sea Prince deals with the glazing of the British light transport machine.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package holds an aid for painting, that is, not a model. The shapes match the glazing of the flight deck and the passenger cabin windows in 1:72 scale. The frames are therefore produced with paint and keep the same texture as the surrounding finish. The kit and paints are not in it.
The Percival Prince is a British light twin-engine transport aircraft with radial engines and a high-set wing. It appeared in the postwar years for short routes and company transport. The naval Sea Prince served the Royal Navy as a communications and training machine, for example for training navigators. Its striking glazed nose gives the type its face, but in building a model it calls for care. The Pembroke type came out of the same family, so the individual variants look alike at first glance and differ mainly in the arrangement of the windows.
Mask the rounded nose in smaller sections; one large piece will wrinkle over the curve. Press the edges down with a blunt-tipped tool so as not to scratch the glass. Apply the top shade in two thin coats and let them flash off in between. Lift them off slowly and at a shallow angle, so that the finish does not tear away beyond the edge. Finish the cowlings of the radial engines before you start on the glass, so that you do not have to keep turning the model over.
