Ural-377 is a kit of a Soviet three-axle road truck in 1:43 scale from the maker AVD Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
An assembly model of the Ural-377 truck. While most vehicles of the Ural works are built for terrain, this type is their road relative, intended for running on made-up roads and for longer-distance carriage. In a collection it therefore makes sense to build it beside its off-road siblings: they share family features but have a different purpose. 1:43 scale matches ordinary collector car models.
The Ural-377 came about on the basis of the off-road line but with a chassis adapted to road service, that is without front-axle drive. Thanks to that it used less fuel and had a simpler transmission, and it could carry a higher payload on made-up routes. Vehicles of this type were used in ordinary freight transport, as flatbeds and as carriers for bodies, and their distinctive cab is unmistakable from a distance.
A road vehicle looks good even without pronounced weathering, so here it pays to concentrate on a clean finish: well-leveled joints on the cab, a flat load floor and a smooth coat. Choose a semi-matte shade for the body and a slightly glossier finish for the glass and the headlights; the contrast of the two will serve the model well. If you do want traces of service, keep them to fine dust on the fenders and water streaks on the sides, which on road vehicles matches reality better than mud.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
