Ammunition accessories for the MG 34 machine gun in 1:35 scale. Belts, drums and boxes with which the crew of a vehicle or the corner of a diorama is completed.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MG 34 was a German general-purpose machine gun of 7.92 mm caliber that in the Second World War appeared with the infantry, on vehicles and in defensive armament. The cartridges were fed to it in belts of fifty rounds that could be joined into longer lengths. So that a loose hanging end would not get in the crew's way, the belt was coiled into a drum hung directly on the weapon. The supply of ammunition was carried in sheet metal boxes with a handle and a hinged catch; it is exactly those that appear on the fenders and in the cargo beds of vehicles in practically every period photograph. For fire against aerial targets a saddle magazine with two drums above the weapon served.
The set brings together ammunition accessories for the MG 34 machine gun in 1:35 scale. The individual pieces are separate parts, so you arrange them according to your own idea: by the crew of the weapon, on a cargo bed, into the holders on the sides of a vehicle or loose on the ground in a diorama. The manufacturer gives the exact composition of the set on the packaging.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Ammunition boxes tended to be painted in the same shade as the equipment and rubbed quickly, so it pays to complete the base color with a dark wash into the edges and small scrapes. The ammunition belts are drawn out by a brass shade on the cartridge cases against the darker metal of the links.
For modelers who build German vehicles and dioramas in 1:35 scale and want to fill them with a credible load. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
