A basic set of fine photo-etched parts from the Czech maker Hauler intended for models of the German four-barrel 2 cm Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft gun in 1:48 scale. It refines the structure of the mount, the seats, the sight frames and other small elements. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit.
The 2 cm Flakvierling 38 was a German four-barrel 20 mm anti-aircraft gun of the Second World War that brought four automatic cannon together on one traversing mount. It was used against low-flying aircraft and ground targets alike and was deployed on vehicles, on ships and in static positions. The openwork structure of the mount is ideal for photo-etch.
Photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife, bent over an edge or in a bender and glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The fine frame parts call for patience; degrease them before painting and spray them with a primer. The details of the mount come out nicely after a wash and edge highlighting.
This is a detail accessory. The basic Tamiya kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
