A resin set of replacement main landing gear wheels from RESArm, in the version for the late variant. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a model of the American Douglas A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The tires are cast with a flattening where they meet the ground, imitating the load of a machine standing on them.
The A-1 Skyraider was a powerful single-engine attack aircraft with a piston engine, operated by the US Navy and the US Air Force from the postwar years through to the Vietnam War. It stood out for the heavy load it could carry on its pylons and for its long endurance over the battlefield.
Wash the mold release agent off the wheels, separate the casting blocks and clean up the contact surface. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Point the flattening straight down. Paint the tire and the hub separately and bring out the tread with a wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
