Quickboost 1:48 A-10A Thunderbolt II fan blades is a resin aftermarket accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the front engine fan in the kit of this American ground-attack aircraft with a correctly shaped casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a resin accessory from the Quickboost (Aires) brand in 1:48 scale, not a stand-alone model of the airplane. It replaces the front blades of the inlet fan of the turbofan engines of a plastic A-10A Thunderbolt II kit with a correctly shaped resin casting, which is visible in the mouths of the engine nacelles. The set is meant for experienced modelers who want to take the view into the engine beyond the level of the molding from the box.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II, nicknamed Warthog, is an American single-seat ground-attack aircraft built for the direct support of ground forces and the destruction of armor. It is powered by two high-mounted turbofan engines, and its typical marks are a tough structure and a mighty rotary cannon. The engines have a clearly visible inlet fan at the front.
These are resin castings for advanced builders. First wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and clean up the cut surfaces, always with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Try the seating dry. Paint the blades in metallic shades and set them into the mouth of the nacelle, where they will be easy to make out.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. The kit of the aircraft, the glue, the paints and any other accessories are not included in the package.
