An add-on set in 1:48 scale for a model of the A-4M Skyhawk aircraft in the mod. 1975 version. It adds detail to a separately sold kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-4M is a late single-seat version of the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk light attack aircraft, used by the US Marine Corps. For its day the aircraft was unusually small: it fitted onto a carrier's deck elevator even without folding wings. The note mod. 1975 in the name distinguishes the form of the machine from that period from earlier modifications, because kits of the same type differ according to which year of equipment they represent.
This is an accessory for a model in 1:48 scale, not a complete kit. Add-on sets of this kind give a finished model detail that injection-molded plastic cannot manage with the fineness required. The exact form of the individual elements and the procedure for applying them are given in the manufacturer's instructions; follow them for working out where each element belongs as well.
Work only on a finished base: the surface of the model has to be smooth, degreased and the paint completely dry. Move small elements with tweezers, not with your fingers, and try them dry before the actual application. Before applying them, check in the instructions whether the elements are soaked in water or applied dry; elements with their own adhesive would be irreparably damaged by soaking. Once dry, the finished work can be unified with a coat of varnish.
The set is for modelers who care about faithful detail and want to take a Skyhawk model beyond the level of the box contents. The work is small and calm and good light pay off. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
