Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazing of a model of the Japanese carrier fighter A6M2b Zero Fighter Model 21 in 1:48 scale, not a kit and not paint. Eduard uses the designation TFace for masks that cover the glazing from both sides, that is from outside and from inside. Thanks to that the canopy frame can be painted from outside in the exterior color of the airframe and from inside in the interior color, which is clearly visible on the extensively glazed canopy of the Zero. The masks are peeled off the backing sheet and applied straight to the part, so cutting tape falls away. Check the number of masks and their extent on the box.
A sharply defined canopy frame is among the most demanding parts of a build, and masking a curved canopy by hand with tape usually ends in an uneven line. Pre-cut masks hold the shape of the frame as a particular model gives it and save time. The inner set also keeps the frame from showing in the exterior color when you look into the cockpit.
For modelers who build the Zero in 1:48 scale and want clean canopy frames without cutting tape by hand, and for those who are masking for the first time and want to avoid the most common beginner's mistake. The inner masks will be appreciated above all by builders who leave the cockpit open.
This is a masking set, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
