The photo-etched set 1:48 A6M5 (Nakajima) upgrade set by Eduard improves a model of the Japanese carrier fighter A6M5 in the version built under license by the firm Nakajima.
Responsibility details are not available.
This complete photo-etched set by Eduard devotes itself to the carrier fighter A6M5 in 1:48 scale, and specifically to the machines that came into being at the licensed maker Nakajima. The package brings metal parts for the inner and the outer parts of the aircraft together and is fitted into a kit that the modeler obtains separately. Behind the brand stands a Czech firm from Obrnice near Most.
The type was designed by the firm Mitsubishi, except that it could not cover the demand on its own, and so most of the examples built came in the end from the lines of its competitor Nakajima. The differences between the two sources were not great, but for a modeler they are noticeable, because they concern details of the exhausts, the equipment and small modifications to the airframe. The A6M5 version from 1943 received shortened and rounded wingtips, a thicker skin and separate exhaust stacks used for additional thrust. It was the most numerously built variant of the whole type.
Unpack the fret only at the moment you need the parts, as the metal creases easily. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Leave the surfaces finished in color as they are, and coat the other metal parts with a thin layer of primer after degreasing. When bending, work slowly and rather in several passes, as photo-etch bent the wrong way cannot be straightened again.
