A resin accessory from the Quickboost (Aires) brand in 1:48 scale holding the barrels of the Minigun rotary machine guns for the AC-47 aircraft. It is not a model of the airplane but a small replacement set that takes the place of coarser or fragile plastic parts with precisely cast shapes. A finely cast barrel cluster looks more faithful on a finished model than injection-molded plastic does.
The Douglas AC-47 was a ground-attack conversion of the C-47 transport aircraft fitted with 7.62 mm Minigun rotary machine guns firing out of the side of the fuselage. It served to support ground units. The arrangement of the barrels protruding from the side openings of the fuselage is characteristic of this version.
Separate the parts carefully from the casting block, wash them free of mold release residue and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Give the barrels color in dark metal, and once they are assembled take care that they line up; work with respiratory protection while sanding.
The model of the airplane itself is not included in the package. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included.
