Self-adhesive cut masks Eduard 1:48 Wessex HU.5 in kabuki tape for clean masking of the cockpit glazing and the windows of the helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the British Westland Wessex HU.5 naval helicopter in 1:48 scale. The set is made from yellow kabuki tape, which holds reliably on flat and curved surfaces alike and, once the edges are pressed down, leaves a sharp spray edge.
The helicopter has complex glazing on the cockpit and side windows in the fuselage, and masking them by hand takes a lot of time. Pre-cut masks cover the frames exactly to size, so the glazing stays clean and the color transitions are sharp. Circular masks for the wheels are usually included too, for easy separation of the tire from the rim.
Carefully lift the individual masks off the backing with pointed tweezers, place them on the part and press the edges down carefully (with a toothpick or a tissue, for instance) so that paint does not creep under the edge. Cover larger glazed areas between the frames with a strip of ordinary tape or with liquid mask. Spray the paint in thin coats and peel the masks off while the coat is fresh - the edges then stay sharpest.
This is a self-adhesive masking set, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
