An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-5 in 1:48 scale, the Advance Edition by the maker AMMO of Mig Jimenez. Besides plastic it also contains resin and photo-etched accessories: a detailed cockpit of resin and pre-painted photo-etch, resin guns and the gun bay, masks for the glazing and resin wheels, propeller and exhausts. The decals offer the markings of six fighter aces.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was among the best German fighters of the Second World War. The A-5 version received the more powerful BMW 801D-2 engine and a slightly modified engine mounting for the sake of better balance. It was deployed on several fronts and a number of well-known pilots flew it.
Glue the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic, and first wash the resin accessories free of mold release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Pre-painted photo-etch will speed the build of the cockpit up. Mask the glazing with the enclosed masks; an airbrush and a primer will make a faithful rendition of the German camouflage easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
