This resin (3D-printed) detail set contains an external additional fuel tank of 175 gallons for models of the carrier-borne Chance Vought F4U-4 Corsair fighter in 1:48 scale. The tank hangs under the fuselage and widens the options for the armament and the fit-out of a model. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory.
The F4U-4 was the late, more powerful version of the famous American carrier fighter Corsair with its distinctive bent wing. External additional tanks were used to extend range on long-distance and ground-attack missions, typically in the period of the end of the Second World War and the Korean War.
Wash the mold release agent off the tank, separate it from the casting block and clean up the parting line. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the position of the mounting dry before gluing. Do the sanding with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
