The set from MH models is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. It contains a resin underwing pod with machine guns of the kind the Delfin carried under the wing in the training and in the light attack role alike. Casting allows sharper shaping of the muzzles and finer surface detail than can be done by injecting into a mold. According to the name, the pod holds machine guns of the MG-17 type.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was the first jet aircraft of Czechoslovak design produced in a large series. It served as a basic training machine and became the standard school type of a number of Warsaw Pact states. A two-seat cabin with a tandem layout, a sturdy structure and undemanding operation from grass surfaces made it an exceptionally long-lived type. For continuation training and light combat preparation, pods with machine guns, unguided rockets or practice bombs could be hung on the underwing pylons.
First wash the resin parts in warm water with dish soap, so that the remains of the release agent from the mold are removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a cut-off disc or a saw, level the surfaces and protect your breathing while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Measure the pylons out on the wing according to the drawing in the assembly instructions of the kit, so that the pod sits symmetrically. Apply a primer before painting.
