A resin ejection seat with cast-in seat belts for a model of the AV-8B Harrier II attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but a detail part of the Quickboost brand. The casting replaces the seat from a kit with a more faithful rendering including the belts, so there is no need to buy photo-etch as well.
The AV-8B Harrier II was a V/STOL attack aircraft used above all by the US Marine Corps. It was powered by a single Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine with vectored thrust, which let it take off and land vertically. A faithfully worked seat is a prominent part of an open cockpit.
Wash the mold release agent off the seat, separate it from the casting block with a knife or a saw and glue it on with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Before painting, key the surface lightly and apply a primer suited to resin so that the paint holds well and does not flake anywhere.
This is an accessory for refining a kit, not a stand-alone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
