A photo-etched set aimed at the external details of a plastic model of the American B-17G Flying Fortress heavy bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that refines exterior items beyond what injection-molded plastic allows. It is intended for B-17G models in this scale.
Sets marked exterior concentrate on the outer surface of the airframe — typically stiffeners, covers, small panels, small antennas, steps and similar fine items. The model thus gains a more faithful, more three-dimensional surface, which shows off well on a large four-engine bomber.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and use a photo-etch bending tool for the folds. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) in the smallest amount, so that it does not run into visible places. Degrease before painting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
