Eduard 1:48 B-17G mid section is a photo-etched detail set for the interior of the mid fuselage of the four-engine B-17G Flying Fortress bomber. It is an accessory for a kit, not a stand-alone airplane model.

A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for detailing the interior of the mid fuselage of a model of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress in 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but a set of fine photo-etched parts with which you bring out interior equipment of a kind that cannot be produced in injection-molded plastic.
The set adds to the mid fuselage, that is the area around the bomb bay, the radio operator station and the transition to the waist gunner positions. It adds panels, consoles, braces, brackets and small equipment that make the interior look faithful even with the fuselage opened up.
The B-17G was the most produced version of the legendary Flying Fortress. Besides the chin turret it carried defensive armament along the whole length of the fuselage, including the dorsal turret, the ball turret and the waist gunner positions. It served mainly with American units on daylight raids over occupied Europe.
The set is used to detail a plastic kit of the matching type and scale. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
