About product

Vallejo Black Violet, an acrylic modeling paint

A single bottle of water-thinnable acrylic paint from the Model Color line by Vallejo. The shade is a very dark violet pulled toward black. The paint is matte, heavily pigmented and once dry forms an even, self-leveling film. The dropper bottle holds 17 ml.

Use

  • Deep shadows and darkening in place of pure black, which reads more naturally.
  • Night sky, dark cloth and shading of violet and blue surfaces.
  • Mixing saturated dark tones and underpainting beneath brighter colors.
  • Applied with a brush straight from the bottle; for an airbrush it is enough to thin it with water or acrylic thinner.

Who it is for

Suited to figure painters and modelers who want to shade with a warmer and more natural tone than pure black.

Non-toxic, odorless, water-thinnable. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Store out of the reach of children.
