A resin detail accessory of radial engines for the B-25 Mitchell bomber in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost brand (a line from the manufacturer Aires). It is not an aircraft model but a set of faithfully cast replacement engines that take the place of the simplified plastic parts in the base kit. The accessory is made for the Accurate Miniatures and Italeri kits.
The cast resin engines have finely worked cylinders, pushrods and ancillaries that do not come out in plastic. With the engine cowlings opened up, or on a build with an exposed engine, they raise the realism of the powerplants considerably.
Separate the fine parts from the casting blocks, wash them to remove the remains of the mold release agent and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Bring the engines out with metallic shades, a wash and dry brushing so that the structure of the cylinders stands out.
The accessory is not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
