A set of cast resin wheels intended to replace the plastic landing gear wheels on a model of the American medium bomber B-25J Mitchell in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers. Resin holds finer relief than injection-molded plastic, so both the tire tread and the hubs look more realistic.
The set usually contains the main wheels and the nose wheel with faithful hubs and tread, often with a suggestion of load on heavy aircraft. The wheels are fitted straight in place of the plastic parts and quickly raise the level of a finished model, because the landing gear is usually right there in plain view.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter rather than breaking them. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding, as resin dust must not be inhaled.
This is an add-on set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
