An accessory set from the Czech brand CMK in 1:48 scale containing the pilot's seat with a backpad and with seat belts for a model of the Bristol Beaufighter in its TF Mk.X version. It is not an airplane kit but one of the interior parts, with which the simpler seat from the Revell plastic kit is replaced. The casting has the belts rendered in the part itself, so there is no work with strips of foil. The exact number of parts and the rest of the contents are shown in the illustration on the packaging of the set.
The Beaufighter was a British twin-engined heavy fighter and attack aircraft with radial engines and a crew of the pilot and a second member. The TF Mk.X version was meant for attacks on naval targets and for carrying a torpedo, and it was used over the sea. The pilot sat high in the forward fuselage under a sliding canopy, so his seat is clearly visible on a finished model and is worth some attention.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a fine-toothed saw and level the surface on abrasive paper laid on a flat board, watching the correct seating height of the seat as you do. Glue the part with super glue and dry-fit it beforehand to check that the fuselage still closes after the swap. Painting likes a sequence from a dark base through the main shade to a light dry brush on the edges; set the belts apart in color and in sheen and suggest the buckles with a fine brush. Shading the recesses with a weak wash is enough, as the interior should not be overloaded with contrast.
