The Emil in the E-4 version in 1:48 scale. The package covers the cockpit glazing from the outer and the inner side, contains one set of national insignia and four metal parts: a pair of MG 17 machine guns and a pair of wing MG FF cannons.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 is the form of the Emil from the summer of 1940, that is from the weeks when the air battle over southern England was being decided. Against the older E-3 it received a revised angular cockpit canopy, stronger armor behind the pilot's seat and above all the wing MG FF cannons in a version which allowed thin-walled high-explosive ammunition to be used. Above the engine two MG 17 machine guns of 7.92 mm caliber stayed.
Where the metal earns its place fastest. On the Emil the answer is unambiguous and differs from most other fighters. The MG FF cannons project from the leading edge of the wing as separate stubs; they are not recessed into a fairing or hidden in a cover. In 1:48 scale that is a projection several millimeters long, on which an open muzzle is recognizable at once. It is with such a geometry that turned metal does the greatest piece of work.
The package is based on the shapes of the Tamiya kit. During the build it is worth replacing the wing parts right at the start, while the wing halves are still separate: the cut-off plastic is then trued more easily and the metal tube is seated on the axis without the risk of the spacing of the two weapons drifting apart. Anyone assembling the model with a closed cockpit should count on not using the inner mask.
