A resin detail accessory from Quickboost for a plastic kit of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a set of replacement exhausts that swap the plastic kit parts for castings with deepened openings and finer detail.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, was a German single-engine fighter from the beginning of the Second World War with an inverted V12 engine. The row of exhaust stubs along the sides of the engine cowling is a prominent detail whose accuracy exact castings markedly improve.
Wash the parts to remove mold release, separate the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. The exhausts come out once painted in burnt steel shades with pigments for scorching and rust. Sand with respiratory protection.
