The resin detail set Aires Bf 109F-2/F-4 cockpit set in 1:48 scale. It is a resin cockpit accessory for a plastic kit of the German fighter, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires in 1:48 scale meant to improve the cockpit of a plastic kit of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F fighter (the F-2 and F-4 versions). The set brings finely cast cockpit parts with rich relief of the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that replaces the original cockpit from the kit.
The Bf 109F, nicknamed Friedrich, was the aerodynamically refined version of the German single-seat fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine. The F-2 version carried a smaller-caliber gun in the propeller hub, while the F-4 received a more powerful engine cannon. The cockpit was cramped, with a characteristic framed canopy.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts and separate them carefully from the casting blocks. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and sanding should be done with respiratory protection. Check the fit before closing the fuselage. The interior usually calls for the appropriate cockpit interior shade, a dry brush on the edges and a wash into the recesses to bring out the details.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
