Bf 109G-6 exhaust stacks (1:48) is a resin add-on set of exhausts for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter from Eduard. It stands out for its hollow outlets and fine welds, which a plastic part cannot offer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin add-on set from the Eduard Brassin range brings a set of exhausts for the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:48 scale. The resin exhaust stacks have realistically hollowed outlets and fine welds and usually come with photo-etched sheet for the heat shields. They replace the plastic parts from the box and noticeably raise the detail of the engine section. This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit.
The Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine powered the Bf 109G fighter, and its exhausts emerged in rows along the sides of the fuselage. These short exhaust stacks with their characteristic outlet shape are among the striking details that draw the eye on a finished model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, separate the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and any photo-etched shields are bent with a bending tool. The exhausts come into their own once painted in rusty brown and metallic shades with the heat discoloration picked out.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
