A resin cockpit set from Aires for the late form of the Bf 109G-6 version. It replaces the cockpit of a plastic kit with a more richly defined casting that takes in the instrument panel, the cockpit sides, the seat and the controls as fitted later on. It is an accessory for more experienced modelers, built into a base model of the Bf 109G-6 in 1:48 scale.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G, nicknamed the Gustav, was the most widespread variant of this German fighter of the Second World War. The G-6 version was among the most numerously built; later machines differed in reworked equipment and detail. The cockpit of this series matches the mature form of the Gustav.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding resin. Lay down a primer before painting; paint the instrument panel and the cockpit sides built up in layers with a fine brush.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
