LööKplus is a line of combined add-on sets from the Eduard company: in one package it brings together several separately sold accessories for one aircraft type, so that the modeler does not have to assemble a set piece by piece. The set is intended for the Bf 109K-4 model in 1:48 scale. Check against the list on the box that the set fits the kit you are building. The manufacturer is the Czech company Eduard.
The Bf 109K-4 was a late production version of the German single-engine Bf 109 fighter from the end of the Second World War. Compared with the older variants it had a modified engine cowling, differently arranged undercarriage covers and further production simplifications meant to speed up series manufacture. Structurally it was an all-metal low-wing monoplane with a liquid-cooled V engine and a narrow main undercarriage track. On a model, the changes from the earlier versions show mainly on the forward fuselage and in the cockpit, that is, exactly where such add-on sets aim.
Combined sets usually mix several technologies, so handle the parts according to the material: wash the resin and 3D-printed parts in lukewarm soapy water, cut off the casting blocks with a saw and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; cut the photo-etched parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface and bend them along the etched groove. Sand resin wet and with respiratory protection. Dry-fit the cockpit details before the fuselage is glued shut, as once the halves are joined they can no longer be moved. Apply a primer before painting, or the paint will not hold on smooth metal or resin.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
