Eduard 1:72 Ju 87D Stuka is a photo-etched detail set, not a model. It adds fine metal detail to a plastic kit of the Ju 87D Stuka that injected plastic cannot manage.
Responsibility details are not available.
This product is not a kit but a photo-etched detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It contains fine etched parts that sharpen and enliven a plastic model of the Ju 87D Stuka, supplementing and replacing detail that injected plastic cannot capture faithfully.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was a German dive bomber of the Second World War, easily recognized by its inverted gull wing and by the fixed landing gear with streamlined wheel fairings. The D version received the more powerful Jumo 211 engine, a reworked cowling and canopy glazing, and it carried a heavier bomb load. The Stukas were made famous by the sirens that gave out their characteristic wail in a diving attack.
The photo-etched parts are meant for advanced modelers. The individual pieces are separated from the fret with a sharp knife, bent on a bending tool or over a sharp edge and joined with super glue (cyanoacrylate); larger areas can also be soldered. Degrease the parts before gluing so that they hold well. A coat of primer pulls the assembly together, followed by the airbrush and light accenting with a wash. The set is an accessory to a plastic Ju 87D Stuka kit in 1:72 scale, which has to be bought separately.
