Masks for suggesting the deflection of the surfaces optically on a Bf 109K model in 1:48 scale, usable for all versions of the type.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of self-adhesive stencils for a model of the closing form of the German Bf 109K fighter. According to the name it covers all versions of this form. The defined outlines of the control surfaces are sprayed over with a darker tone and the shadow that arises imitates their deflection.
The Kurfürst, as the K series was nicknamed, was an attempt to order the chaos of late wartime production. The differing variants of the previous generation were unified into one form with a cleaned-up surface, a tall wooden vertical tail and a retractable tail wheel. A Daimler-Benz DB 605D with the option of a short-term boost in output provided the power. The most widespread version became the K-4 with a cannon in the axis of the propeller. The machines began reaching units from the autumn of 1944, when fuel and trained pilots were already lacking, so the potential of the type never got the chance to show itself fully.
Late German schemes rest on gray tones with a small difference of brightness, so grade the shading finely. Setting a lower pressure and moving the nozzle further away has proved itself, so that the edge does not form a sharp line. Check the effect in daylight; artificial light distorts it.
