This is an add-on resin set, not an airplane model. It holds replacement main landing gear wheels in 1:48 scale for models of the Australian CAC Boomerang and Wirraway. The parts, in fine resin, carry crisply cast tire and hub detail and serve as a direct replacement for the parts from the Special Hobby base kit.
Resin wheels are usually rendered more faithfully than injection-molded plastic parts and often carry a weighted stance, a slightly flattened tire contact patch that makes the model look as if it really stood on the ground. The tread and the hub detail are cleanly cast with no parting seam, so the laborious clean-up falls away.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap so that any mold release residue disappears. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife, sand the area and protect your airways when sanding resin. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer before painting is recommended.
This is not a model kit but an add-on set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
