This resin set from Aires in 1:48 scale holds two pieces of the German Bordkanone 3.7 cm (37 mm) aircraft cannon. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for the armament, replacing the simplified parts of a base kit with faithfully made resin cannon. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Bordkanone 3.7 cm was a German 37 mm aircraft cannon used in the Second World War. Carried in pairs in underwing pods, it armed, for example, the antitank and anti-bomber versions of German aircraft. It was marked by its large caliber and penetration against both ground and air targets, at the price of greater weight and a smaller ammunition supply.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The weapons come into their own in a dark metal shade, with the edges picked out gently and discreet grime added. Check that they seat in the underwing pods or the mounting points on the base kit.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not the airplane model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
