1:48 Bristol Beaufort Mk.I engines PRINT from Eduard replaces the power units of the British torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale with 3D printed parts. The accessory aims at a part-built kit.

The engine set from the PRINT line is among the most demanding accessories that can be put into a twin-engine bomber in 1:48 scale. The resin parts are made by 3D printing, so they can render even the small things that simply do not come out of a mold for injection-molded plastic: cylinder finning, pipe runs, fine frames. The set is made to replace the base plastic engines, not for building a standalone model.
The Bristol Beaufort was a British twin-engine torpedo bomber of Coastal Command. The Mk.I version had Bristol Taurus radial engines with sleeve valves, units interesting in design but which proved sensitive in service. The Beauforts attacked German shipping along the European coast, and operations at low altitude over the water were among the most dangerous tasks of the whole war. The heavy fighter Beaufighter later grew from the same basis.
It pays to proceed slowly and to try dry a great deal: the engine nacelles tend to be the place where every deviation shows in the stance of the whole model. Wash the castings, cut off the print supports and level the seating surfaces on glass with sandpaper. Fit the engine cowling only after a trial, so that the propeller sits on the axis. The details inside stand out after a dark filling wash and dry brushing in a lighter tone.
Count on having to obtain the aircraft itself separately.
