Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Challenger 2 main battle tank in the smaller 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. It is a new mold thanks to which modelers working in this more compact scale also get a modern Western tank with a well broken up hull, turret and running gear. The package contains parts on several sprues, a separate lower and upper hull and the turret; check the exact number of parts and the markings in the instructions enclosed.
The Challenger 2 is a British main battle tank developed by Vickers Defence Systems as the next development stage of the Challenger 1. The British army began introducing it in the mid-1990s. Compared with its predecessor it received a new turret with a powerful 120 mm rifled gun and modern composite armor. The tank proved itself in operations in the Middle East and to this day it is among the backbone of British armored forces; a smaller number of machines is also operated by Oman.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic. Assemble and if necessary paint the running gear and the lower parts of the hull before you close the hull and fit the side skirts with the tracks. Apply a primer before painting and ideally spray the paint with an airbrush. British tanks most often carry a single shade of British green, or desert sand for service in the Middle East. Add dust and mud with pigments and filters, and bring out the edges and detail with a wash and a fine dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
