Brengun 1:48 resin BRU-57 racks (2 pieces) are twin racks for precision guided munitions that extend the underwing equipment of a fighter model. It is an accessory, not a model of an aircraft.

A set of two resin castings of the BRU-57 rack, which in English is called a canted vertical ejector rack. Its purpose is to carry two precision guided bombs on one pylon instead of one, hung at an angle beside each other. On a model this markedly thickens the underwing armament, and at the same time it is a detail that most kits do not have at all. Resin castings have sharp edges and fine surface details that injected plastic cannot manage at this size. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory to a kit in 1:48 scale.
The BRU-57 rack is used on F-16 fighters and allows them to carry twice the number of precision guided bombs on the same number of pylons. It is carried on an ordinary underwing pylon and the munitions hang on it in two canted positions. In practice it means that an aircraft can take twice as many targets on one combat sortie without having to give up pylons for fuel tanks or air-to-air missiles. On models of newer F-16 versions it is a typical and easily recognizable element.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water so that the remains of mold release agent from the mold are removed, as otherwise neither the paint nor the glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw or a knife and do not break them. Sand the remainders back with your airways protected, because resin dust should not be inhaled, and ideally sand wet. They are bonded exclusively with super glue, as cement for plastic has no effect on resin. Apply a primer before painting and only then the base shade. Paint the racks and the munitions separately from the aircraft and join them only at the end, otherwise it is hard to reach between the bombs with a brush.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base kit. Munitions, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
