A resin detail set, not an aircraft model. This resin set by the brand Aires in 1:48 scale contains the wheels of the transport aircraft Douglas C-47 Dakota together with paint masks. The resin wheels replace the plastic ones from the box with a faithful tire with defined tread and hub, and the masks supplied make it easy to separate the color of the tire from the hub cleanly. The set is intended for experienced modelers; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Douglas C-47 Skytrain, known in British and Allied service as the Dakota, was the military version of the legendary DC-3 airliner. During the Second World War and after it, it was among the most widespread transport and airborne machines in the world. Its rugged main wheels with their characteristic tire are captured exactly by the resin casting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
