CH-47A Chinook – a colored 3D interior in 1:48 for the Hobby Boss kit is a three-dimensional set of the interior equipment of the helicopter from Quinta Studio.
Responsibility details are not available.
Quinta Studio makes its interior sets by three-dimensional printing, so the elements are not flat and take on the shape of the real panels, seats and controls. The colors are finished at the factory and the modeler does not have to complete them. The set is cut for the Hobby Boss 1:48 CH-47A kit, which is the only distinguishing detail within this pair of sets.
The CH-47A was the first production form of the Chinook, which entered service at the beginning of the 1960s and made its name in Southeast Asia. It carried troops and artillery pieces and recovered downed aircraft, and its interior was bare, with benches along the walls and uncovered structure. The crew station was full of round dials, which is a marked difference from the later screen-equipped versions.
The surface has to be smooth, clean and dry, otherwise the elements will not settle properly. It pays to work from the large areas to the small details and to keep checking that the fuselage half still closes. Do not press the elements down hard on sharp edges; rather divide them into smaller pieces. The remaining empty spots in the cabin then only need a dark shade picked into the corners, so the interior gains depth.
