Chairs 1:48 are a resin, 3D-printed diorama accessory from the Czech maker Firma49: a set of chairs for furnishing a scene at a smaller scale, not a vehicle model.

The set in 1:48 scale contains chairs for finishing off interiors and outdoor scenes alike. It is a diorama detail, not a vehicle model: it helps to furnish a room, a cafe, a yard or a command post. Resin printing copes with the delicate legs and backs even at the finer 1:48 scale.
Furniture gives a scene a human dimension and a story. Chairs around a table, tipped over by a wall or carried outside suggest an inhabited place. They combine well with figures and interior items in 1:48 scale, which are common in aviation and postwar scenes.
The parts are held on thin print supports and the delicate legs are fragile, so work carefully. Before separating them it is worth dipping the set in hot water for a moment: the resin softens slightly, the supports are easier to cut away and the material does not chip. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Wood suits glazing shades and a fine wash; on a varnished version add chipping of the edges.
The accessory is supplied as a resin casting, unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
