About product

Peewit masks, North American NA-64 Yale 1:72

Self-adhesive Peewit painting masks for covering the glazed cockpit while spraying a model of the North American NA-64 Yale trainer, 1:72 scale. The masks follow the frames exactly and can be lifted off with no residue. It is an accessory for painting, not a model.

The real subject

The NA-64 Yale was an advanced North American trainer from the prewar family out of which the famous T-6 Texan also grew. It differed from the Harvard in its fixed, non-retractable landing gear. In the Second World War the Royal Canadian Air Force made wide use of it to train pilots.

Use

  • Clean the glazing of grease and dust
  • Move the mask with tweezers and press it against the frame
  • Apply the paint in thin coats and lift the mask off once it has dried

Who the masks are for

  • Builders of aircraft in 1:72 scale
  • Modelers of trainers and prewar hardware
  • Anyone after clean painting of glazing

The masks are not a model of an aircraft: a plastic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
