Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. The masks are precisely die-cut and serve to cover the canopy frames, the clear areas and usually also the tires when spraying paint and varnish. Thanks to the exact shape the result has crisp, clean edges with no laborious hand masking with tape. This is an aftermarket accessory, not a standalone model: the masks are used on a matching plastic model of the aircraft, which is bought separately.
The Fouga CM.170 Magister is a French two-seat jet trainer of the 1950s with its distinctive butterfly V-tail. Besides training it was also used in some countries for light attack support.
The masks are carefully separated from the sheet, laid on a clean and degreased surface and pressed down gently so that paint cannot creep in at the edges. The paint is applied in thin coats, best with an airbrush; once it has dried the masks are taken off before the varnish has fully cured. It is worth filling the remaining clear areas between the frames with masking tape or masking fluid.
These are painting masks, not an aircraft model. The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
