A resin detail set from the Brassin range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for completing a larger kit: a set of air intakes for the F-8 Crusader carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The package contains resin parts, and photo-etched parts as well with this set. Always check compatibility with your base model.
On the F-8 Crusader the air intake is a prominent element under the nose of the fuselage. The resin castings bring the correct shape and depth of the duct along with the fine detail that the plastic version from the box usually simplifies. The set raises the realism of the forward section of F-8 Crusader models.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks with a saw and clean up the edges. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); bend the photo-etched parts over a metal ruler. We recommend painting the inside of the duct before it is closed. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is a detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
