Eduard 1:48 — Curtiss P-40E Warhawk, seat with integral belts, Type 2 is a 3D printed replacement for the pilot seat including the belts. It is not a kit — you have to have your own P-40E model from Eduard.

This is not a model of an aircraft but a supplementary detail set from Eduard in 1:48 scale. It contains the pilot seat with the seat belts included as part of it. According to the manufacturer the set is intended for the Curtiss P-40E Warhawk kit from Eduard and it is made by direct 3D printing in resin.
The belts are not a separate part you would have to glue on — they are printed directly as part of the seat. That does away with annealing, shaping and gluing photo-etched belts, and above all: 3D printing gives the belts real volume and a natural drape. A flat metal fret can be bent, but it never looks like a strap hanging over the edge of a shell under its own weight. And the seat is the first thing visible through an open cockpit.
The P-40 was built in a whole range of versions and the cockpit equipment differs between them — a set for the P-40E therefore need not fit a model of the P-40N or another variant. For the P-40E Eduard offers the seat in more than one form (Type 1 and Type 2), which corresponds to the fact that different seats appeared on these machines. Before fitting the set, compare the shape of the seat with the instructions and with photographs of the machine you are building.
Resin behaves differently from plastic: modeling cement for polystyrene will not bond it, so reach for super glue or for epoxy. First wash the part in water with detergent — the surface tends to carry uncured print resin residue and paint would not hold on it. Where sanding is needed, sand only wet: resin dust is harmful to health and must not be inhaled. It pays to paint the belts separately from the shell and to finish them with a light wash that brings the folds out.
An accessory to a kit, not a kit. It is supplied unpainted; paints and glue are not included in the package.
