Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Roden captures the transport version D.H.4a, a conversion of the wartime biplane for carrying passengers. The box holds gray plastic, clear parts and a decal sheet. The model is built from individual sprues and is meant to be glued and painted.
The De Havilland D.H.4 was a British two-seat bomber and reconnaissance biplane of the First World War. After the war the civil conversion D.H.4a came about, with an enclosed cabin for passengers in the rear part of the fuselage. These machines were among the first aircraft of scheduled civil air transport between London and the continent and stood at the beginning of commercial flying.
Use liquid cement for plastic and seat the passenger cabin glazing and the windscreen carefully. Add the bracing wires between the wings from a thin thread. Apply a primer before painting and put the fine shades on with an airbrush, and set the decals on a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
