Roden 1:48 de Havilland D.H.9 Commercial is an injection-molded plastic kit of the postwar transport version of the British biplane for carrying passengers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Roden captures the commercial, that is transport, version of the D.H.9. The box holds gray plastic, clear glazing and a decal sheet. The model is built from individual sprues and is meant to be glued and painted.
The De Havilland D.H.9 was a British two-seat bomber biplane from the end of the First World War. After the war a civil transport conversion came about from it, with a revised upper fuselage and room for passengers. These machines served in the beginnings of scheduled air transport and belong to the early history of commercial flying.
Use liquid cement for plastic and seat the inline engine and the cabin glazing carefully. On a biplane it is advisable to add the bracing wires between the wings from a thin thread. Apply a primer before painting and put the shades on with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
