A waterslide decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the F-4/b version, 1:48 scale. The letter b in the designation refers to the fighter-bomber conversion of the F-4 version, able to carry bomb loads. The sheet is the second part of a series devoted to this pattern and holds different markings from the first part. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model that is already built and painted.
The sheet brings markings for several machines: national insignia, individual codes and supplementary lettering. One of the variants offered is tied to the aircraft of the Hungarian pilot Aladár Heppes, and the others belong to Luftwaffe machines. The printing is done on a thin carrier film in accurate register, so even thin outlines stay crisp. The sheet of schemes enclosed in the package shows where the individual designs go.
Varnish the area under the decal with gloss clear coat, otherwise a milky edge will be left around the carrier film. Cut the design out closely, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until the film releases from the backing. Slide it onto the dampened place, fine-tune the position with a soft brush and soak the surplus water up. Lay a softener onto the engraved lines and panel joints. Once it has dried perfectly, unify the whole model with a matte or semi-matte varnish.
This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, paints, glue and varnishes are not included in the package.
